Mother House

The clock is as old as the house - it was given in 1904 by the mother of our Director General Father auf der Heide, SVD. She spent her final years in our convent. The clock still works and it chimes every quarter of an hour as well as the full hour - Fr. Arnold wanted everyone to remember the Quarter Hour Prayer, so there are large bells connected by a pulley system on every floor of the house and even on the roof. It can be heard as far as the SVD Mission House.
